Pie makers and bakers across regional NSW are creating delicious pies in time for Australia’s National Pie Day on 1 June.
This year, the Queanbeyan-Palerang region is joining in on the fun by taking part in the Southern Highlands’ Pie Time. For the first time ever, Pie Time is expanding further into Southern NSW, all the way to Braidwood, Bungendore and Queanbeyan.
Check out the pie-conic bakeries you can find on the Treasure Trail below and head out to your favourites during the month of June to raise a pie for Pie Time.

The Braidwood Bakery, also trading as Trappers Bakery Braidwood, has kept a constant pace of delivering freshly baked goods to its patrons and shows no signs of slowing down.
Opening daily, the bakery guarantees the availability of a huge choice of exceptional delicacies to enjoy with a freshly brewed coffee. Dojo Bread is the Canberra Region’s best kept baking secret. The small, family-run artisan bakery specialises in traditional German style breads, fresh pies and sausage rolls and cakes, and is a proud distributor of ONA Coffee. Choose your pie fix from their range of Chili Chicken Lime, Mushroom Ragout, Beef in Red Wine and Lamb & Fenugreek pies.
All products stocked at Dojo are made on site from scratch by a dedicated and passionate team.

Located on the main street of Braidwood is Nerson’s – a taste of homemade pies, pastries and savouries all in one place, served alongside fresh roasted coffee by their friendly staff.
The Nerson’s range of homemade pies includes Plain Pie, Chunky Steak, Steak & Mushroom, Cheese & Bacon, Chicken Curry, Chicken Satay and Lamb Shank Pies.

Located on Bungendore’s Gibraltar Street, this delightful bakery offers all the old favourites as well as new gourmet editions with dining available inside and outside.
Known across the region for their great cakes, pastries, piping hot coffee and more, their range of pies includes Steak & Mushroom, Lamb Honey, Mint & Rosemary and Pepper Potato Pies, alongside a variety of other savoury treats.

Friendly customer service, delicious meals, locally made products and fantastic coffee, bread, pies and more at 50 Molongolo Street, easily accessed from the Kings Highway.
The locally owned and staffed cafe offers casual dining for any occasion in a gorgeous heritage building. Breakfast served daily until 11.30am with lunch offered 11am – 3pm, with a kids’ menu available as well. Harvest Fresh also offers a selection of local wines and boutique beers and is now open for dine in or take away on Friday night.
The Harvest Fresh pies are lovingly crafted using local produce, cooked down slowly to bring out the beautiful flavours. Next time you’re in town for your pie fix, try their slow cooked Beef Bourguignon, Steak, Bacon & Cheese, or Beef and Stilton pie, and keep an eye out on their specials board for new treats to try.

Nerson’s Pie Place is a family owned business serving homemade products since 2013. The quaint local bakery and sweet shop caters to a varied audience, offering a unique variety of sweets and savouries, including meat pies and sausage rolls and freshly baked cakes and slices.
Nerson’s Pie Place is the place to be for a classic selection of pies including Curry Vegetable Pie, Chunky Steak Pie and Curry Chicken Pie.
They also offer hot coffee, cold drinks, varieties of lollies and ice cream.
Bohemian Café & Catering

Bohemian Café & Catering is a small country cafe serving eat in and takeaway meals. The café owners and staff pride themselves on treating everyone as if they’re their mum.
The café has an everchanging menu of specials, including Beef Stroganoff and Mince pies, Butter Chicken and Beef & Red Wine pies, and if you’re lucky you may even come across Bec’s famous Mango Chicken Curry pie.

The family owned Nerson’s Pies & Takeaway are now also serving up their pies and Mexican and Filipino dishes in Queanbeyan CBD. The homemade products range from freshly made pastries, pies and breads to quesadillas, pizzas, burgers and Filipino style breakfasts.
Similarly to their Bungendore counterpart, Nerson’s Queanbeyan offer a classic selection of pies including Curry Vegetable Pie, Chunky Steak Pie and Curry Chicken Pie.
