Canberra based artist Robyn Campbell will open a solo exhibition at Suki & Hugh Gallery in Bungendore on Saturday 7 May 2022.
Robyn is a multidisciplinary artist whose professional practice is centred around glass and ceramics. Highly accomplished in both media, Robyn trained in glass at ANU School of Art.
For this exhibition, entitled Where Shadows Fall, Robyn has chosen to work in clay. Her characteristic bold forms and textured surfaces draw inspiration from the land.
‘This work largely draws on experiences of the high country and the bare hills heading from Canberra to my childhood home in southern New South Wales. These pieces reflect upon of the curves of slope and stone, the texture and pattern of the land and the elements upon it’ – Robyn Campbell.
