This is a wonderful event celebrating rural history and mans
relationship with dogs and the land.
The Sheepdog Trial runs over four days and is over a special Course called the Trans Tasman, this was designed so Australia and New Zealand could continue their rivalry in this most historical of sports and compete against each other using some of each Countries rules.
The Trial at Bungendore is one of the few in NSW using this course and creates plenty of interest, despite the frosty mornings and fog often delaying the start of competition.
The Trial also runs a great country style canteen with plenty of hot food and generous hospitality.
Each day there is commentary about the Competition and information about the Trial to add interest for anyone coming to watch.
