About this event

‘Heart of the Tree’ will showcase a stunning selection of turned timber vessels and sculptures – each paying homage to the tree from which it was formed by highlighting the unique character and grain of its timber. The exhibition highlights the sublime in simple forms, bringing together material, shape and skill to weave a narrative of the importance of the Tree to Terry Martin’s practice.

Terry Martin’s first exhibition with the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery was in Sept. 1992. It was by far the most important exhibition in his early days.

‘Heart of the Tree’ will be his 122nd  exhibition spanning seven countries, and 14 of those have been solo. The exhibition also marks 30 years of exhibiting with the Gallery.

‘Heart of the Tree’ will be open from June 24th – September 25th , 2022 at Bungendore Wood Works Gallery’s Octagonal Art Space.
