‘Curiosity’ is the theme for this year’s Australian Heritage Festival and while it may have killed the cat, for the rest of them it is the fuel for discovery, inquiry and learning.
The National Trust’s festival has been held annually across the country for more than 40 years. Organisations large and small participate in honouring the past through exhibitions, events and workshops. In the Queanbeyan Palerang region, they have held their own Heritage Festivals annually for more than 20 years, and due to their shared regional history they have close links to the ACT Region Heritage Festival.
QPRC’s Heritage Festival will be launched at 6:30pm on Tuesday 12 April at the Queanbeyan Library, featuring Tim Adams presentation of his recent Honours thesis on Queanbeyan’s Riverside Cemetery.
Please join them in celebrating the wealth of heritage, social history, art and culture in the Queanbeyan Palerang region, please refer to their website for full details and bookings of individual events and workshops.
