BANG the ‘DORE is all about bringing music to the streets of Bungendore Village.
Twenty local buskers will compete for prizes across the morning, and in the afternoon, three local headline artists will take the main stage. In amongst all that, the village will come alive with a range of local specialist music-related street stalls and special food offers from the Rotary Club Bungendore Scouts and your favourite local businesses.
The act with the most votes at the end of the busking competition will be crowned the People’s Choice winner and will have the chance to perform on the main stage alongside the headliner acts.
The afternoon headliner acts span a variety of genres from emerging musicians from Braidwood, Bungendore and Queanbeyan. The afternoon kicks off at 1.30pm with Braidwood’s indie singer-songwriter Lily Morris, followed by Bungendore hip-hop artist Context featuring Jimmy Pike and Chemi-Cal at 2.55pm. Finally, Queanbeyan artist, Jerikye Williams will perform a nod to the greats, The Big O, Johnny Cash and Elvis, at 3.45pm.
